Brumcan based in Small Heath offer tangible solutions
to problems of waste and rubbish across Birmingham.
With the mission "to continue to be the leading community
based recycling organisation in Birmingham, providing
a reliable and innovative service and offering environmental
benefits for all".
Brumcan have already reached out to local schools,
community groups and resident associations, helping
them reduce domestic waste and educate on the benefits
of recycling. Lorna Langdon explains "everyone is
becoming more aware about environmental issues, however
awareness does not mean action. Brumcan cuts through
this barrier by presenting the concept of rubbish
as a resource, and integrating environmental education
into practical solutions".
Co-Enterprise continues to work closely with Brumcan
providing sound business support including marketing
their services, in addition, helping to expand their
collection and education services through better-managed
Waste Action Projects.
