Ladywood Furniture Project

The Ladywood Furniture Project is a voluntary organisation supplying good quality refurbished furniture at minimum cost to families on a low income who cannot afford normal commercial prices. Much of the furniture is collected through generous donations from people who are replacing their own furniture . Ladywood Furniture Project is dependent upon a workforce of volunteers who collect, inspect, repair and refurbish the furniture, ensuring it is completely safe and suitable for its original purpose. As a community organisation Ladywood Furniture Project provide training and work experience to their volunteers, which with additional support and encouragement, helps provide them with a better route back to full time employment. Co-Enterprise continues to provide business advice and are currently assisting with general marketing and the development of a volunteer training and development sponsorship programme.
