The Project Planning Centre based in Handsworth,
successfully assists local people to build sustainable
social enterprises. It has a long track record of
empowering people to do things for themselves.
Working in partnership with colleges and the British
Army the Project Planning Centre has been able to
offer a diverse range of training opportunities from
computer skills to mechanics, creating access to employment
for people in Handsworth.
Its latest business idea is being developed with
the British Army. It aims to refurbish local derelict
housing, regenerate the local area and offer affordable
temporary housing for Jamaicans awaiting acceptance
into the British Army.
Co-Enterprise has a long standing relationship with
Project Planning Centre, which includes the participation
of Ben Cunningham (Centre Manager) on our Board of
Directors.
