The Village Community Nursery offers full day care
for 12 babies 0-2 years and 16 toddlers 2-3 years.
The nursery opened its doors in April 2001, and is
situated in an ideal location in the Saltley area
of Birmingham. The building was renovated decorated
and refurbished to high specifications to meet the
needs of a busy day nursery.
Village Community Nursery offers affordable childcare
to lone parents, community places and college-subsidised
places for parents returning to further or higher
education, thus enabling them to eventually return
to work.
Co-Enterprise was instrumental in giving sound business
advice to the board of directors and the staff during
the setting up of the nursery.
The nursery is positively flourishing over a year
and half after its opening and plans are now afoot
for expanding the provision.
The staff at Co-Enterprise are already actively involved
in advising the nursery during the first stages of
the planned expansion, and in offering ongoing support
for the nursery in its preparation for its forthcoming
OFSTED inspection.
